14U Standings & Stats

Standings with Fair Play Points

NOTE: Commissioners should keep the schedule up to date in the above Google Docs Sheet. Any updates to the Website Schedule should be emailed to Jeanne, the Webmaster, for updating.

Statistics

Statistics for each Team will only be accessible to the Head Coach and Manager of the Team (access to be given starting week of 10/23). This is a long standing policy of EAHC. Commissioners will have access to the Statistics pages for all teams as they enter the info from Game Sheets. Note: EAHC does not change statistics based on Team Requests, we only use the data on the Game Sheets.

DO NOT SORT OR FILTER the DATA on GOOGLE DOCS or the statistics will not be accurate and it will cause the league and your Commissioner a lot of extra work to fix!

Fair Play Point Rule (from Page 14 of the EAHC Guidebook):

In any regular season game where a team’s Penalty Minutes do not exceed the following thresholds, the team is awarded a “Fair Play Point” in the standings. Both teams involved in the game are awarded a Fair Play Point if they both stay below the threshold. If only one team is below, then only the team below the threshold is awarded the standings point. The Fair Play Point is in addition to points awarded for win or tie. A team is not awarded a Fair Play Point in a game where a player or coach receives a Game Misconduct or Match Penalty regardless of the team’s penalty minute total. In addition, any game where a coach/bench receives an Unsportsmanlike Conduct Minor, the team will not receive a Fair Play Point regardless of team penalty minute total. The Fair Play Point is equal to 1 point.

Fair Play Point Penalty Thresholds:

Squirt/10U: 5 minutes

PeeWee/12U: 9 minutes

Bantam/14U: 13 minutes

Midget/18U: 15 minutes

14U Penalties Explanation

Starting with the 2024-25 season (and until USA Hockey changes the rules). 14U penalties are as follows:

1.5 minutes - all minors

4 minutes - all majors

8 minutes - Misconduct

A Minor plus plus Misconduct for Boarding, Check from Behind, Charging or Head Contact is 1.5 minutes (1st line with the player # who incurred the penalty listed NOT the player who served the penalty, 2nd line is the 8 Misconduct with the player # who incurred the penalty listed). The player who incurred the penalty must stay in the penalty box for the FULL 9.5 minutes unless a goal is scored during the 1.5 minutes their team is playing down a player. The player who served the minor may come out when a goal is scored (if short handed) or at the end of the minor penalty. A Misconduct is a warning to a player - don't be so stupid.

MAJOR Penalty - 4 minutes. All Major penalties also have an associated Game Misconduce (8 minutes charged to player in stats and Game Misconduct is listed on a separate/2nd line on the scoresheet). The player is suspended for the next game on the Team's schedule. There is NO exception to this rule and no appeal as it is a ref call. A Major plus Game Misconduct means your player did something very dangerous or detrimental to the game and deserves to be out for the remainder of this game and the next.

Game Misconduct - In addition to Game Misconducts associated with 4 Minute Majors, a Game Misconduct may be incurred for various types of protest or misbehavior not associated with plays during the game. Examples include (but are not limited to): arguing with a ref, using profanity, name-calling, racial or ethnic or gender slurs (or similar), throwing sticks, kicking boards, or generally acting not in a sportsmanlike manner. Refs have varied tolerance for this type of behavior so it is best to avoid all dissent or inappopriate language.

Scoresheets

Player Rosters should be listed alphabetically and include the name from your USA Hockey Roster (not a nick name like ROCO or ACES) and the number (example NYH3232-001) for your team.

Correct scoresheet procedure for Minor plus Misconduct and Major plus Game Misconduct:

Per # Offense Min Off Start On

1 23 Charging 1.5 10:43 10:43 9:13

1 23 Misconduct 8 10:43 9:13 1:02

If a goal was scored during the minor at 10:32

2 20 Boarding 1.5 11:43 11:43 10:32

2 20 Misconduct 8 11:43 10:32 2:19

NOTE: the player leaves the penalty box on a play stoppage after his time expires.

Major plus Game Misconduct to #18:

3 18 Fighting 4 9:22 9:22 5:22

3 18 Game Misc 8 9:22 9:22 9:22

#18 is suspended for the next game on the team's schedule. and is ineligible to be an alternate until the suspension is served.

Gamesheet Info

Either use the Link above to see the Gamesheet Score/Standings/Schedule in a different window or check out the display below!!! NOTE: Select the Division (10U WHite, 10U Blue, 12U, 14U or 18U) on the left hand side top row, then select the tabs for what you want to see.

Also below I have put 2 links to Training Info - one is for Managers to create an account and figure out what to do about the invitation code you got. The other is training videos for IPad Scoring App. None of these are long. The Scoring app videos are very short and focus on single issues like how to install it, how to sign in, how to check your roster, how to add a penalty, add a goal, oops, I need to delete a goal or penalty, how to end a game and get ref signatures.

NOTE: All of 14U teams have had their USA Hockey Roster imported so managers should have very little to do once they setup an account and accept their invite. All of the 14U games played thru 11/23 have been entered by your Commissioner using the white copies of scoresheets.

NOTE 2: The league schedule for 10U thru 18U has been imported so all leagues games (except for 8U) are already in the system. You can only see your games on the day that they are played.
